At the same time, the activation of the additives in the reduction of oxalic acid on lead cathode is also examined. During the experiments, I have applied the differential pulse polarography (Metrohm757) to measure the concentration of glyoxalic acid which is the main product of the action, while AC impedence method, differential capacity (Autolab FRA) and EQCM are used to study the electrochemical behavior of some quaternary ammonium compound.
